The Philippines is set to convene business leaders and policymakers across Asia Pacific for the 40th Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Conference, coinciding with the CACCI’s 60th anniversary, to be held from November 4 to 5 in Okada Manila.
Anchored on the theme “CACCI at 60: Achieving Greater Regional Integration in the next Decade,” this year’s conference is co-organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chaired by Dr. Enunina V. Mangio, PCCI President Emeritus, who has taken the challenge of bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders from across the Asia Pacific region to strengthen cooperation and advance the role of the private sector in economic development.
“I am deeply honored by the trust entrusted to me. This conference is more than a gathering of business leaders across Asia but a meaningful celebration of CACCI’s six decades of fostering collaboration, driving positive change, and advancing inclusive and sustainable growth across the region,” Mangio said.
Mangio emphasized that the event will serve as a platform for government and business leaders to shape a collaborative agenda focused on forward looking strategies that promotes inclusive growth, supports women and youth-led enterprises, advances green transformation, and strengthens human capital development.
“We have prepared a dynamic and interesting two-day plenary sessions and invited distinguished speakers to share their experiences and insights in driving economic growth in the region,” she added.
Mangio formerly served as president of PCCI. A licensed chemical engineer by profession, she owns several large businesses including the SamgyeopMasarap chain of restaurants and engaged in several businesses including Servcare International Corporation, an international holding company with subsidiaries in the US, Asia, and Dubai, where she sits as President.
She is also the Chairman of the Board of Mawell Chemical Corporation, a triple-A electromechanical contractor, and Choosers Choice Food & Development Corporation, a chain of casual dining restaurants serving Korean and Japanese cuisines with a total of 56 branches all over the Philippines.
Mangio graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology, holding a double degree in mechanical and chemical engineering. She also earned her master’s degree in business management from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
