The Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) hosted its annual event, Health Information Management Service Conference 2023 (HIMSCON 2023), at The Peninsula Manila, Makati City last October 19-20, 2023. This two-day event is considered the biggest for the healthcare information management industry in the Philippines, attracting over 300 C-level executives and professionals from both the government and private sector. The event also coincided with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of HIMAP.
HIMSCON 2023 provided top-level plenary sessions and breakout sessions, focusing on the latest trends and industry best practices. The conference provided insights into key global healthcare outlooks, and healthcare talent trends in the Philippines.
HIMAP Awards 2023 were also held to celebrate the achievements and innovations in the healthcare sector. The 2nd HIMAP Awards has expanded to 8 awards this year as they added a Kalikasan award to recognize ESG champions. It inspires companies not just to be innovative and to become the best in their industry but also to help in community development and to be a champion of Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG). One of the highlights of this year’s HIMSCON was the launch of HIMAP 4.0. This initiative signifies a step forward in reinventing care with technology as this will pave the way for a future where healthcare and technology go hand in hand. The launch of HIMAP’s new brand identity solidifies their Position Statement which supports and synchronizes with the goals of the IT-BPM/HIMS Roadmap 2028: “WE ARE HIMAP. THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS THRIVING HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY.”.
In conclusion, HIMSCON 2023 is a success as it not just provided brilliant insights and useful information for the attendees but it also championed innovation and a catalyst for change in the healthcare industry. It inspired and motivated their attendees for them to grow further in the healthcare industry and be prepared to take on the future challenges that they will face in the industry.
