The Manila Hotel proudly brings back HATCH: The 5th Edition, a one-of-a-kind showcase of unique Easter eggs artfully crafted by local artists. Displayed as a focal point of the Grand Lobby of the hotel, guests will be treated to a delightful display of novel collaboration of Filipino artists.
HATCH: The 5th Edition offers 18 specially designed acrylic eggs showing a range of creative styles and distinct personalities of Filipino contemporary artists from many disciplines, with the goal of promoting the local art scene and highlighting the creative genius of local artists. Each Easter egg tells a different story, just as the painters adapted their respective unique mixed media approaches.
Featured artists include Addie Cukingnan, Agi Pagkatipunan, Al Perez, Aner Sebastian, Carlito Ortega, Carlo Magno, Cindel Tiausas, Carlos Cee Cadid, Demet dela Cruz, Migi Sebastian, Egai Fernandez, Emmanuel Nim, Jinggoy Salcedo, Margie Organo, Maria Magdamit, Migs Villanueva, Monnar Baldemor, Reen Barrera, Remy Boquiren, Roger “Rishab” Tibon.
While the project was originally planned for local artists to gather during Easter, it grew and travelled from city to city, introducing visitors to an extraordinary presentation of Filipino artwork.
HATCH will be on display in The Manila Hotel’s Grand Lobby until April 23, 2023. The exhibit is open to the public.
