DOST-PCAARRD Announces 26 Technologies to be Showcased in the 1st Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest!

Twenty-six technologies are set to be showcased during the first Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest (AIPF) on December 6, 2022 at the Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Led by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD), the event is spearheaded by the Council’s Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) under the leadership of Director Noel A. Catibog.

Heralded as the biggest and grandest pitching event this 2022, the AIPF will showcase the best technologies with commercial potential in the agri-aqua sector.

The 26 technologies are divided into four categories, namely:

  1. Agri-Aqua Inputs and Products,
  2. Food Products and Beverages,
  3. Agricultural/Aquatic Equipment and Machinery, and
  4. Other Agri-Aqua Technologies.

The technologies are as follows:

Agri-Aqua Inputs and Products

  1. OrgaMix of the Bicol University (BU)
  2. Coconut Bio-Organic Fertilizer of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA)
  3. BioTrichoF Liquid Trichoderma of the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC)
  4. Bagtik Indigenous Microorganism of the Bohol Island State University (BISU)
  5. Modular Black Soldier Fly Farming of the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU)
  6. Probiotics and prebiotics from onion wastes for improved tilapia culture of the Central Luzon State University (CLSU)

Food Products and Beverages

  1. CalZing: A Calamansi Flavored Honey-Ginger Gel Tea of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV)
  2. Kardeli: Buffalo meat delicacies of the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC)
  3. Roselle herbal juice drink of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU)
  4. Furikake with Black Garlic of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU)
  5. Processing Technologies of Ready-to-Eat Products from Philippine Native Animals of the Isabela State University (ISU)
  6. Halal Chevon Products of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM)
  7. Salted Duck Egg Powder of the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB)

Agricultural/Aquatic Equipment and Machinery

  1. Automated Smoking Machine of the Cavite State University (CvSU)
  2. Fruit Bagger of the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC)
  3. Tractor-Driven Furrower of the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U)
  4. PAKASER (Mechanical Fish Splitter) of the Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT)
  5. Mechanical Coconut Climber of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP)
  6. PowerSMOKE of the University of Rizal System (URS)
  7. BioCODE: Biodiesel Manufacturing of the Batangas State University (BatStateU)
  8. PhilRice Mini Combine-Harvester of the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice)
  9. COIRMACH (Coco Fiber Twining Machine) of the Capiz State University (CapSU)
  10. Wastewater Treatment Equipment for Wet-Type Finishing Spray Booth of the Forest Products Research and Development Institute (FPRDI)
  11. Sago Processing Technologies of the Caraga State University (CSU)

Other Agri-Aqua Technologies

  1. GeoMap: Geo-referenced Agricultural Mapping and Geospatial Management Information System of the Samar State University (SSU)
  2. Bamboost: A Mobile Market place App for S&T-based Bamboo Products of DOST-PCAARRD

The event also listed the top 10 technology posters which will be showcased at their booths:

  1. Mobile Solar Irrigation of the Batangas State University (BatStateU)
  2. Multi-Commodity Dryer of the Cavite State University (CvSU)
  3. Pili-Taro Milk of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)
  4. BioTrichoF Liquid Trichoderma of the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC)
  5. Moisture Meter of the Forest Products Research and Development Institute (FPRDI)
  6. Vacuum Fried Kamote Sticks of the Guimaras State University (GSU)
  7. Furrower of the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U)
  8. Mungbean Cereal Flakes of the Pangasinan State University (PSU)
  9. Kopi Daily of the Rizal Technological University (RTU)
  10. Palay Paint of the University of the Philippines Mindanao (UP Mindanao)

As of December 1, more than 390 individuals signed up as onsite attendees of the event, while 300 individuals are expected to watch via Zoom or Facebook Live.

AIPF is also a collaboration with the Association of PAQE Professionals (APP) and Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LES Philippines).
