Rising Tigers Magazine hosted a magazine signing event featuring its March cover personality, businessman and philanthropist Mikee Romero. The gathering took place on March 12, 2026 at National Book Store inside SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines.
The event brought together bloggers, members of the media, and readers who follow stories about leadership and entrepreneurship. Special guests included players from the Capital1 Solar Spikers. Attendees had the opportunity to meet Romero, have their copies of the magazine signed, and listen to his insights on business and personal growth.
Organized by Rising Tigers Magazine, the activity aimed to connect readers with the personalities featured in its publication. The program opened with a welcome address by Andrew Troy Nicolas, chairman of Tag Media Group, who thanked National Book Store and expressed appreciation to Mikee Romero for taking time from his busy schedule to meet readers and supporters.
Romero, the magazine’s “Man of the Year,” was known for his work in business, public service, and sports. He had been recognized as the richest congressman in the Philippines and was included among the country’s 50 richest individuals. His career spanned several industries, and he had also been active in philanthropy and sports development.
One of his key messages focused on the importance of education. “Finish your studies first,” Romero said. “Education gives you discipline and the foundation to understand opportunities when they come.”
Romero also spoke about the need for structured planning. According to him, long-term success required clear and measurable goals.
“You have to break your goals into manageable timelines,” he explained. “Create plans for 10 years, five years, two years, and one year. If possible, even make monthly goals so you can track your progress.”
He added that planning allowed individuals to stay focused and avoid distractions. “When you have a timeline, you know what you should be doing today to reach your bigger goal,” Romero said.
His background in sports played a role in shaping his mindset. Romero noted that teamwork, preparation, and consistency in athletics helped influence his approach to business and leadership.
“Sports teach you how to handle both wins and losses,” he said. “That mindset is useful in business because challenges will always be there.”
The signing event drew supporters from the business community, readers of Rising Tigers Magazine, and young entrepreneurs interested in hearing from Romero directly.
The program included a short conversation with Romero, a question-and-answer segment, and a magazine signing session. Attendees were able to ask questions related to entrepreneurship, leadership, and career development.
Rising Tigers Magazine continued to feature leaders from business, government, and the creative industries. By hosting events such as magazine signings and public discussions, the publication extended its platform beyond print.
