DXC Technology takes home the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia Employee Experience of the Year – IT Services category at the Asian Experience Awards 2023 for its successful employee engagement initiatives amidst hybrid working arrangements.

According to the organisation, the hybrid work environment is designed to empower employees to work in a way that best suits their needs and preferences while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.

Employees use hybrid work arrangements to work remotely whilst still having access to all the resources they require to do their jobs effectively. This has helped the DXC retain and attract top talent, foster an atmosphere conducive to innovation, and provide consistently excellent service to its customers.

When hybrid work arrangements are implemented, company managers see improvements in employee performance, such as fewer instances of employees taking unplanned time off to care for family members at home. Employees can also better manage their time at the workplace because of the flexibility of avoiding peak hour traffic conditions.

DXC mantains a constant focus on developing innovative and effective strategies to engage with employees. These include both virtual and face-to-face activities including virtual learning and development initiatives, team meet‐ups over video conference for lunch, online courses, appreciation sessions, communication exercises, live sessions for new‐skill training, online counselling sessions, as well as recognition and acknowledgement sessions.

DXC has developed the DXC Gear system to support this hybrid working environment in simplifying the process of providing IT peripherals and office furniture to remote workers who need them. This is an internal initiative implemented by DXC to equip employees who work remotely with the necessary tools. Products that are available for employees are organised in a standard catalogue on DXC’s intranet.

“DXC has reinvented the workplace for its employees. We recognised that simply providing our 130,000 employees in 70 countries with laptops, internet access and basic help desk services was not enough. We made a conscious effort to put employee experience at the center of all our plans and maintained a singular goal in mind: to deliver a personalised and modern workplace experience that empowers employees to connect, collaborate and work seamlessly and securely on any device, anytime and anywhere,” the company said.

DXC also developed several diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that promote equal opportunities and foster a sense of belonging amongst all employees. The company regularly assesses its policies and procedures to identify any barriers to diversity and works actively to address these issues.

“DXC Technology is committed to a diverse and inclusive corporate culture. We embrace diversity not only because it is the right thing to do for our people, but because it is good for business. Diversity is at the core of our ability to serve our customers and shareholders, and it strengthens our reputation as the employer of choice in the IT industry and beyond.”

The Asian Experience Awards seeks to recognise the enterprising initiatives of companies that deliver meaningful brand experiences to their stakeholders.
